Blogger Google and Switching from FTP to Custom Domains

How to Market Your Website Online - Tips and Ideas
Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Semi-recent announcement that Google Blogger will cancel their FTP support.
They say about .5% of users actually used the FTP option. So, that would be BlueGreenWeb.com and what, 2 other sites??

Changing your blog is quite easy - 3 steps for most people:

1. Create new CName such as blog.bluegreenweb.com (ghs.google.com)
2. Change blogger.com settings to Custom Domain
3. edit ,htaccess to redirect (301) from bluegreenweb.com/blog to blog.bluegreenweb.com (for example) You be sure to enter YOUR domain, dig?

That is pretty much it.
The other 2 blogs in the .5% may have already made the change.
We, as you can see, have not (yet), because we have until mid March 2010.
